DRAW

Time is limited and the breaks in the rush are even fewer
The sun is high and soon to be some ones noon
Two fighters step to the center of town
The great each other with malice and the stare down begins
All eyes in the town grab onto the pair
People with no blood lust now seem to watch in awe
Attracted by an uncertain out come
“Who is going to win, I though he was dead”
“But how… SHHHH”
The questioning of everything is halted by the scene moving on
Their words slightly muffled by the dusty breeze
Hands appear at the combatants sides
Fingers tremble next to their weapons
A silent countdown begins
1… The sun rays beading sweat down their faces
2… Tension builds in the crowd as time stands still
3… “TONIGHT ON AMERICAN IDOL”
“AH WHAT THE HELL”
“TURN IT BACK” “I’M TRYING”
“HOW DID YOU…” “I JUST SAT DOWN”
“YOU SAT ON THE REMOTE”
We sit their fighting to find the channel of the movie
We don’t know the name of the story
And none of us were ever into western anyway
But it doesn’t matter any more because we missed it
Now we have our own stand off on the way
We leave the house and reach the club
Tonight it’s an actual ladies not and we are for the first time
OUT NUMBERED
Ladies to the left women to the right
I notice my opponent
1… I see her see me
2… Her “momentary” song comes on and she pulls me near
With a smile than a look off before looking back as to say
“What do you think you’re waiting for?”
I choose to dance face to face with her so that
3…DRAW, My name is JA what’s yours….
